Casey Medals

Enter the 16th Annual Casey Medals for Meritorious Journalism competition, which recognizes exemplary reporting on children and families. This year, we've updated our categories for the digital age: We've revamped the audio and video categories, and we welcome Web audio and video entries. For the first time, citizen journalists and reporters from online-only news sites are eligible to apply. First-place winners receive $1,000 and will be honored at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. Casey Medalists are automatically considered for two additional $5,000 awards presented by the America's Promise Alliance. The deadline for the 2010 Casey Medals has been extended one week. Entries must now be RECEIVED by 5 p.m. ET on Friday, March 12, 2010.
