Our new Web site builds on our history by bringing new content and expanded resources.

Casey Medals for Meritorious Journalism: The annual awards honor distinguished coverage of children and families in multiple categories. Deadline for the awards is March and winners are announced in June.
Fellowships & Training: Journalists learn from renowned experts, build professional networks and get core training in the stories they cover at one of our conferences. We’ve been producing workshops that combine cutting-edge content and skills-based training for over 16 years. Fellows overwhelmingly rate our conferences as “excellent” and “exceeding expectations.”
Outreach: We also attend a range of professional journalism conferences and meetings. Center staff can offer specific training on children, youth and family issues. Over the past few years the center has hosted panels on child/family topics at national journalism conferences and this year also participated in NVision '09, a training event on the current issues facing journalists and journalism.

Partnerships: We build strategic alliances with journalists, news organizations, nonprofits and foundations to extend the reach of our resources to journalists in any medium, on any beat.
