2007 Journalism Center Fellows

Powerful training equals powerful stories.

The Journalism Center's competitive fellowships and training sessions gives journalists access to top experts and the latest information in the children, youth and family field.

Fellowships give journalists the opportunity to build knowledge and expertise on reporting critical social issues, by meeting with renowned experts and building their skills in journalism workshops. Journalists develop compelling story ideas and collect relevant sources.

Past conferences, held throughout the country, have covered children's health, crime and working families. Upcoming conferences will continue to help journalists find fresh angles on emerging topics.

give an instant primer to busy journalists."

SHERYL KORNMAN, TUCSON CITIZEN, 2004 fellow

Specialized sessions, often cosponsored with other journalism organizations, allow time-strapped reporters to get in-depth professional training on child/family topics in a short amount of time.

The Journalism Center on Children & Families offers the story ideas, sources and the connections that will last long after the conference ends.
