“2010 Education Appropriations Guide”

The issue brief details the federal education appropriations for fiscal year 2010, which were finalized December 13, 2009. It provides breakdowns, analysis and summaries of the $63.7 billion education budget for 2010. It includes an overview of the appropriations process, a 2010 appropriations timeline, highlights of the 2010 appropriations for certain programs and tables comparing 2009 and 2010 appropriations.

The report was produced by the New America Foundation’s Federal Education Budget Project (FEBP). FEBP serves as a non-partisan source of information on federal education funding for the media. It works to heighten the quality of debate on federal education funding.
