The Annie E. Casey Foundation will release its 22nd annual KIDS COUNT Data Book -- featuring national and state profiles of children's well-being -- on August 17.

The Data Book is distributed to a wide audience of  policymakers, practitioners, and journalists and is recognized as a leading source of data on the condition of  America's kids and families. The Data Book is complemented by the online Data Center and a new mobile site that are regularly updated with hundreds of measures of child well-being covering national, state, county, and city information. Journalists can access the EMBARGOED web site now or request an interview with data and child welfare experts, by contacting Sue Lin Chong at 410.223.2836 or schong@aecf.org. The site includes a downloadable 2011 KIDS COUNT Data Book, news release, national fact sheet, state-specific media kit and state-level data. Journalists are also invited to register now for a pre-release webinar on August 11 where Casey Foundation President and CEO Patrick McCarthy and national KIDS COUNT coordinator Laura Speer will preview the national and state level data and answer your questions.
